Running
The miles behind it all.
Running is my therapy and my discipline — up to 70-mile weeks in a build on Butler County hills, and these days a heavy dose of trail miles and vert. The sub-3 marathon fell in 2025, then a 2:51 PR and my first 100K in 2026. Every mile’s on Strava.

The numbers that matter.
The 10K fell inside the EQT 10 Miler; the half inside the 2:51 marathon. Next up: keep dropping the marathon and ultra times — starting with the Laurel Highlands 50K.
Why I run
Discipline over motivation.
Motivation is a nice-to-have; discipline is what gets me out the door at 5 a.m. Running pulled me out of a dark place and gave me a structure to build everything else on. The Garmin 955 keeps me honest, the hills keep me humble, and my family keeps me going.
I train around Butler County’s relentless elevation — the same climbs that carried me through the Rabid Raccoon 100K. Marathon builds peak around 70-mile weeks, heavy on easy Zone 2 aerobic work with sharpening as races approach; between builds it’s trail miles and vert.
